MoIAT Notifies Cotecna for Drinking Water Certification
Cotecna Dubai has been notified by MoIAT for the certification of drinking water in the UAE.
We are pleased to announce that Cotecna Dubai is now notified by the UAE MoIAT (Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology) for the certification of drinking water.
The UAE government requires that all drinking water have an Emirates Quality Mark (EQM). The EQM can only be issued by a MoIAT notified body like Cotecna. The mandatory certification requirement is as per resolution 26 issued by the UAE cabinet in 2013.
Regulated products without the quality mark will be removed from the market or denied entry into the country. The seller/supplier will also incur a fine from the relevant authorities.
Applicable Standards for the Bottled Drinking Water / Bottled Natural Mineral Water scope include UAE.S / GSO 1025 – Bottled Drinking Water and UAE.S / GSO 987 – Bottled Natural Mineral Water.
