Cotecna is now a Notified Body for Oman’s LVE Regulation.
Cotecna has been notified by DGSM for the Oman Technical Regulations for low voltage electronic equipment and appliances.
Cotecna is proud to announce our official approval as a Directorate General for Specifications and Measurements (DGSM) notified body for the Oman Technical Regulation concerning Low Voltage Electrical Equipment (LVE) and Appliances. Meaning, Cotecna is able to issue Certificates of Conformity for LVE products and appliances exported to Oman.
The Oman Technical Regulation aims to ensure the safety and reliability of electrical products exported to the country. Compliance with the regulation not only safeguards human health and the environment but also enhances market access and businesses competitiveness.
The product categories covered under this regulation include:
- Washing machines (with a capacity exceeding 10 kg and up to 25 kg)
- Dishwashers
- Vacuum cleaners
This notification expands our operations in the Gulf region. Cotecna is also accredited for Verification of Conformity programs in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. In addition, Cotecna is approved by GSO for the Gulf Technical Regulation for Low Voltage Electrical Equipment and Appliances and Children’s toys.
