Cotecna hosted a Stand-Alone Solar Conformity Training Seminar in Ethiopia

Cotecna Inspection SA recently hosted a successful training seminar in Addis Abba. The seminar was an introductory training on the new Stand-Alone Solar conformity programme.

Several officials were in attendance. Including Ethiopian Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration official (MoTRI), head of Modjo branch, Mr. Melese Bekuresilase, Director General of Ethiopia Conformity Assessment Enterprise (ECAE) Mr. Teshale Belihu, Deputy Director General (Operation) of ECAE, Mr. Abel Anberbir, and Mr. Nabil Ishak Vice-Chairperson of Ethiopia Solar Energy Development Association (ESEDA). After an opening remark by Mr. Abel, Mr. Melese delivered an introduction to the programme.

The conformity programme aims to regulate the quality of solar products imported into the East African country. Notably, Certificates of Conformity are mandatory for the importation of regulated products.
